We have a moving date!

We are thrilled to announce that we are moving into our new shop in the Market Place, Alston, on Tuesday 24th and Wednesday 25th September 2019

We are currently fitting out the shop and moving our stock. We will be moving to our new premises during Tuesday 24th and Wednesday 25th. For the first, and only, time in our history, we will be observing the traditional Alston practice of being closed on Tuesday afternoon, when we will moving our chillers and freezers uisng a fork lift truck. We will endeavour to be open on Wednesday, though there will unavoidably be some disruption.

This move to the bigger and better premises is great for us because we’ll have more space, which is great news for you because it means we can expand the range of food and other goods on offer. We’ll also be able to offer a refill service. With increased space at the back of the shop we’ll be able to buy more things in bulk, thus making savings which we can pass on to you, our customers.

Deep Clean

When the building work was complete we called in Catering Hygiene Services from Spennymoor (County Durham) to carry out a deep clean of the entire shop. One of our partners, Claire, filmed this short video that shows what a fantastic job Chris and his team made of it. Here are a few stills that show our gleaming new shop.
